The overlooked system that's keeping you tired, puffy, and stuck
Lymphatic drainage is everywhere right now. Celebrities swear by it. Influencers post side by sides showing how sculpted they look after a single session. But it’s not just a trend. It’s essential to how your body heals detoxes and stays energized.
This practice became a part of my daily ritual long before it was buzzy and it continues to ground me energize me and keep my system clear. The best part is you don’t need to book a massage to get the benefits. You can support your lymphatic system every day through breath movement and a few intentional practices.
Let me show you how!
My First Experience With Lymphatic Work
I was first introduced to lymphatic drainage during a GYROKINESIS® training. At the end of class one day my teacher told us to bring a hand towel or exfoliating glove to dry brush the next morning. I didn’t understand what it had to do with movement. I was there to strengthen decompress breathe and re-pattern my body not scrub my skin.
But I showed up towel in hand. We started with our face then moved from the feet up toward the heart. After doing one side of the body we paused. I felt lighter and more grounded in that one side immediately. By the end of class I felt clear energized and more connected to myself. I looked in the mirror and noticed a shift in my body too. I had no idea something so simple could make such a difference.
From that day on dry brushing became part of my daily rhythm. I still do it before I shower. I spend between 2 to 10 minutes depending on the day. I make it work for me.
What Your Lymphatic System Does and Why It Matters
Your lymphatic system acts like your body’s natural filtration and waste removal system. It clears out excess fluid toxins inflammation and cellular waste. But unlike your heart which pumps blood automatically your lymph system has no pump. It relies on breath and movement to keep things flowing.
And most of us aren’t supporting it.
If you sit a lot eat processed foods wear tight clothes slouch or breathe shallowly your lymph flow slows down. Over time that stagnation can lead to puffiness, bloating, water retention, brain fog, low energy, weakened immunity, and inflammation. Your body starts holding on to things it’s meant to clear out.
Lymphatic drainage supports natural detox. It helps your body release what it no longer needs. And when you move your lymph daily you can feel the difference almost immediately.
How I Support My Lymphatic System
I build lymphatic drainage into my day with small simple rituals. These are my go to tools and practices
• Dry brushing
• Walking
• Rebounding on a mini trampoline
I use this rebounder regularly. Rebounding is incredibly effective for lymph flow circulation and heart health. The rhythmic bounce stimulates lymph while giving you a light cardio boost. Just a few minutes makes a difference
• Bouncing in place
• Legs up the wall
• Deep breathing with full rib expansion
Your diaphragm is one of your most powerful lymph pumps. If you’re not breathing well your lymph isn’t flowing well
• Vibration plate sessions
I use this vibration plate several times a week. It helps stimulate lymph movement increase circulation and activate deep stabilizers. I often do breathwork and gentle movement while standing or seated on it. It supports balance energy and nervous system tone
You don’t need all of these. Start with one and build from there. Even just walking with intention or learning to breathe better can get things flowing.
My Dry Brushing Routine
Dry brushing is one of the simplest ways to stimulate lymphatic flow in minutes. I do it before my morning shower. I keep it gentle and consistent.
What you need
• Dry skin
• A dry brush exfoliating glove or even a rough towel
• A few uninterrupted minutes
How to brush
• Use light upward strokes toward your heart
• Brush each area about 5 to 10 times
• When I use this exfoliating glove I often add a little massage motion as I brush
Order matters. Follow this path
• Start at the feet brush up the legs
• Behind the knees
• Up the inner thighs toward the groin
• Stomach in gentle clockwise and upward strokes
• From hands brush up the arms into the underarms
• Brush down the neck toward the collarbones
• Lightly brush or tap over the collarbones to finish
After brushing I rinse off in a warm shower and take a few deep breaths to support the shift.
Some days I use this dry brush from HigherDose and other days the glove. You don’t need anything fancy to start. Just be consistent.

What Makes My Movement Classes So Effective
This is the same reason clients finish a class on RMTV and say “I wish we’d taken a before and after photo. I look five pounds lighter!”
There’s a reason your body looks different after class. The intention behind the movement is rooted in how your body clears stagnation. Every breath release and reposition is designed to restore function and fluidity
We’re not just strengthening. We’re unwinding the stuck patterns that are weighing you down physically and energetically. Breath drives movement. Alignment opens up space. And with that your lymph flows. Your circulation improves. Your nervous system shifts. Your face de-puffs. Your core and glutes start to fire. Your body changes.
This is why people come out of class feeling completely different even if the work felt subtle.
Lymphatic flow isn’t separate from your movement practice. It is the foundation of it.

Final Thought
Lymphatic drainage isn’t hype. It’s a missing link in most people’s health routines. You don’t need to do it perfectly or for hours a day. You just need to create small openings for your body to do what it’s meant to do. Move release restore clear out what’s no longer serving you.
You will feel lighter.
You will feel clearer.
You will glow differently.
With love,
